From a Forrester survey shows how Windows 7 operating system most widely used in the enterprise environment, overcoming Windows XP also high popularity for Internet Explorer, with a market share of just over 40%
A recent report developed by Forrester provides guidance on what is the deployment of operating systems in environments of business enterprise on the terminals of the various operators and employees. It turns out that Windows 7 is the most popular operating system, with a spread of about 47.5% of the total PC due to respondents.
Windows XP follows in second place with 38.2%, due to an expected sharp drop in over the next months as a result of the interruption of official support for this operating system by Microsoft. Windows Vista follows with little more than 3%, while OS X has a good spread overall with a slightly above 7%.
Equally interesting is the breakdown of the browser, Internet Explorer in the lead with 40.2% of the vote, followed by Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox paired respectively with 27.8% and 25.4%.Much more contained the spread of Safari, which closes with a little less than 2%.
Data of this type are mirrored similar to the statistics revealed for the world of consumer platforms and stressing the progressive adoption of Windows 7 as the operating system of reference for most of the PC: Windows XP continues to maintain a very high circulation but it is evident that the growth of Windows 7 is designed to significantly reduce the presence of both Windows XP and Windows Vista's predecessor.
To point out the browser such as Internet Explorer continues to maintain a strong market share, even in spite of systems used in corporate environment has spread the habit to make installations of alternative browsers by users. Are partly came to drop those constraints of the systems of internal IT management to companies that require a single, specific browser version of this type of systems.
